Nico and Vlad won the Romanian ticket to the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest to represent their country back in February. Both exceptional musicians and vocalists, Nico has had success as a songwriter and composer, whilst Vlad is an excellent operatic tenor.
The couple stormed to victory over another song featuring operatic tones, Biondo’s Shine in a two-way battle. According to Eurovision Song Contest experts, the result was the right one for Romania, and the song is tipped as one of the strongest entries in the competition this year.

They will be looking to continue Romania’s strong tradition at the Eurovision Song Contest. Third in 2005, and fourth in 2006, the country is desperate to win the  competition and a whole nation’s hopes rely on the this duet.

Nico and Vlad will become the first Romanian Eurovision Song Contest act to visit the United Kingdom with their song, Pe-o margine de lume (On the edge of the world). It marks an important stop on their promotional tour of Europe as they look to deliver Romania a first Eurovision Song Contest victory in May.
