Elvir Lakovic Laka will represent Bosnia & Herzegovina at the 53rd Eurovision Song Contest. His entry, Pokušaj, was chosen by an internal panel from 31 shortlisted songs. He will perform on stage with his sister Mirela and together, they are heading to London to perform at the UK Eurovision Preview Party.

In 2003, he won the annual Bosnia and Herzegovina Music Award for the best rock song with his song Moro (Had to). His debut album entitled ZEC (R.A.B.B.I.T.) was released when Laka returned home to Sarajevo after two years in New York. The album achieved great success and was released in neighbouring Croatia. His original approach and non-pretentious have helped him achieve fame and popularity. He says he started singing quite early – at 5 a.m.

Laka is a family orientated man and performs with his sister, Mirela, alongside him. They have recorded 12 new songs and an album will be released after their participation at the Eurovision Song Contest, one which is likely to be one of the most memorable of the year.

They will create more history on April 25th when they become the first representatives from Bosnia & Herzegovina to present their Eurovision Song Contest entry in the United Kingdom. They will be providing eccentricity, fun and excitement to the event.
